Springfield's System includes over 88 miles of sewer line that is owned and maintained by the Bucks County Water & Sewer Authority.

Effective January 1, 2016, the Bucks County Water & Sewer Authority assumed the ownership and maintenance of the Springfield Township Sanitary Sewer System.

SEWER EMERGENCIES: Please report all sewer emergencies to 215-343-3946 as soon as they are observed so that crews may inspect the sewer main and clear it if necessary! All calls are answered by a live person 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Please visit our Building & Zoning Department's Sewer Rules and Regulations page for applicable property-related laws pertaining to: the illegality of connecting sump-pumps to the sewer system, floor drain connections, sewer caps, and back-flow prevention devices.
Township residents are encouraged to review their homeowners insurance policy to see if their property is insured against damages resulting from a sanitary sewer back up.
