I need a copy of a police report; how can I get a copy?

You will need to fill out a Right to Know form which can be picked up at the Springfield Township Police Department, Monday through Friday, during business hours.  You can also print the form off of the Springfield Township Montgomery County website, (www.springfieldmontco.org).  Click on the Right to Know Law, (RTKL) 65 P.S. §67.101 et seq. and you will be able to view the Township regulations, policies, and procedures, as well as download a Pdf form that can be completed and dropped off or mailed to the police department, or the Township administration office.  You can also fax the request to the police department, 215-233-5018.

Click on this link and there will be a document explaining the Right to Know Policy.  The document titled "Right to Know" the form you will need to print off and fill out to obtain a copy of the report.  The completed form can be dropped off or mailed to the Springfield Township Police Dept. or the Springfield Township Building.  Please put the report number on the form if you have it.  It takes approximately 5 business days before the report is mailed to you, once it is approved.
