Mermaid Park Temporary Closure
Mermaid Park will be closed on Wednesday, May 17th from 10am-12pm and all day on Thursday, May 18th for tree planting. The planting will be done by Western Lehigh on behalf of the Township. During the tree planting, the park and facilities will be closed, and temporary no-parking in front of the park will be in effect.
Approximately eighteen (18) large caliber native trees will be planted at Mermaid Park as the final part of the Township's award-winning Mermaid Park Stream and Restoration Project. Most of the trees will be planted close to the stream found at the entrance of the park in order to shade the stream and provide additional water quality improvements.
Mermaid park will reopen and be available for public use on Friday, May 19th. The Township appreciates the cooperation of the public as we continue to enhance Mermaid Park!
