Beginning Tuesday, March 12, 2024, work will begin on the Walnut Avenue Pedestrian Trail. This project includes the installation of a walking trail on Walnut Ave from Oreland Mill Road to the area adjacent to the entrance of Sandy Run Park. Through a partnership with Sandy Run Country Club, the trail will be installed along the southern side of Walnut Ave.
During the construction, Walnut Avenue will be closed from Oreland Mill Road to Camp Hill Road between the hours of 7AM and 3:30PM. The work is expected to begin Tuesday, March 12 and continue through the end of April. Sandy Run Park will also be closed during the construction timeframe, as well. Patrons may still visit Sandy Run Park after 3:30PM until dusk.
