PECO Preparing for Incoming Storm, Urges Customers to Stay Safe
PECO is closely monitoring weather forecasts as strong winds and heavy rain are expected to impact the area tonight and into tomorrow. In preparation for the storm, PECO is mobilizing crews and resources to respond swiftly to any power outages that may occur.
How to Report an Outage or Emergency:
- Power Outages & Gas Emergencies: Call PECO at 800-841-4141 to report a power outage or a natural gas emergency.
- Downed Power Lines & Gas Leaks: If you smell natural gas or see downed power lines, leave the area immediately and call 800-841-4141. If wires appear to be sparking, call 911.
- Downed Trees: Please report downed trees to the Township, 215-836-7600, or call the Police. Stay away from the area if possible.
Safety Tips for the Storm:
- Charge electronic devices in case of power loss.
- Have flashlights and extra batteries ready.
- Avoid downed power lines and report them immediately.
- Stay indoors during high winds and heavy rain.
