Parks and Recreation Hosts Earth Day Art Contest
Come celebrate this wonderful planet that we call home, with Springfield Parks and Recreation! Children grades K-12 can submit their art in honor of Earth Day for a chance to win a prize from Joey's Treets & Sweets, Terra Nova Woodfired Pizza and Grill, Captain Andy's Market, or Karla's Kitchen and Catering. Prizes are available for the winners of each of the four divisions!
Division I: Grades K - 2
Division II: Grades 3 - 5
Division III: Grades 6 - 8
Division IV: Grades 9 - 12
Choose between the art mediums of drawing, painting, digital art, photography, or sculpting, and get creative by using elements of nature in your piece! This includes but is not limited to paints, pastels, pens, crayons, color pencils, graphite, ink, charcoal, clay, marker, or even actual items found in nature.
Submit art in person by Monday, April 21st at 4:00pm to the Township Administration Building (1510 Paper Mill Road). We are accepting submissions now. Please include your name, grade, parent's email address, and a short explanation of the art piece. Winners will be announced and contacted on Earth Day at 2:00pm. Winning art pieces will be displayed in the Township Administration Building lobby until May 9th.
