The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that pipe replacement work was scheduled to take place on Stenton Avenue in Springfield and Whitemarsh Townships, Montgomery County, beginning Monday, December 15. That date has been updated to Tuesday, January 6th.
Road Closure and Detour
- Tuesday, January 6, through Friday, January 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Stenton Avenue will be closed and detoured between Bethlehem Pike and Joshua Road. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Bethlehem Pike, Route 73 (Skippack Pike/Church Road), and Joshua Road.
Motorists should plan for additional travel time when driving near the work area, as backups and delays are expected. All activities are weather dependent.
