Springfield Township is currently accepting resumes and letters of interest for advisory board vacancies on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee (1 vacancy) and Environmental Advisory Commission (1 vacancy).
Springfield's Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee advises the Board of Commissioners on the goals and objectives of the Township's parks and recreation programs and serves as a sounding board for the recreational needs of our residents. This board meets on the first Wednesday of every month, except for the months of July and August.
The Environmental Advisory Commission advises and promotes education about issues relating to the management, use and protection of our local environment. Projects include: Sustainable Springfield, Renewable Springfield, recycling initiatives, and much more. Candidates should be residents of the Township who have technical training in the environmental sciences and/or expertise in environmental education, planning or natural sciences. This board meets on the fourth Wednesday of every month.
