Free PPE Kits Still Available

Springfield Township, through the Montgomery County Commerce Department, still has a limited number of free Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) kits for businesses and non-profits in our area. Each kit includes: masks, hand sanitizer, a digital thermometer, cleaning wipes, and face shields. Pre-registration is required. Entries that are not pre-registered will not qualify for FREE PPE kits. 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Minimum of at least 2 kits per business location and/or request.
  • This opportunity applies to each business location; so in other words, a business with 3 locations could get minimum of 6 kits.
  • A kit is defined as both the box of PPE and the signage/informational paperwork packet.
  • Non-profit employers are also eligible to receive kits. 

Pre-registered entities that will receive kits WILL BE CONTACTED by the Township to schedule a pick-up at the Township Building.

MontcoStrong 2021 Pennsylvania Hospitality Industry Recovery Program

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has allocated $145 million to counties for a grant program to provide financial relief to businesses with a primary activity in NAICS Code subsector 721 (Accommodations) and 722 (Food Service and Drinking Places) per Senate Bill 109, known as Act 1 of 2021, signed by Governor Wolf on Friday, February 5th, 2021.  Montgomery County is receiving approximately $9.4 million in funding to provide grants to eligible businesses through this program.  The eligibility, application requirements, and program design are all developed from the text of Act 1 of 2021.

The application window opens March 12th and will remain open until all available grant funds have been awarded. For eligibility requirements and grant FAQs please see the documents below or visit the county's website.
