The Township would like to provide our residents with a few updates on clean-up efforts and road closures resulting from yesterday's storm.
CLEAN-UP EFFORTS & POWER RESTORATION CONTINUE
Township crews are continuing to work hard to clean downed trees from roadways and PECO has dispatched several teams to address downed wires. As of this morning approximately 3,000 individuals in the Township are still without power. The Township will continue to coordinate with PECO as work continues throughout the day.
Residents are encouraged to:
- Stay away from ALL downed wires as they could become energized at any time
- DO NOT place any tree debris in the Roadway; this will slow down sweeping operations
Please consider removing any debris that may be located in the roadway in front of your home and prepare it for your weekly leaf waste collection. Tree debris must be tied in lengths no longer than 4’; or in biodegradable paper bags and placed curbside on their regular leaf collection pickup day. Residents who have an excess amount of debris will need to make other arrangements for removal, like calling a tree company. The Township cannot accept large diameter limbs as it does not have the capacity to collect and process such material
PECO prioritizes residential power restoration efforts based upon the number of outages in a neighborhood. Residents that experience a power outage should call PECO at 1-800-841-4141. Do not assume that a neighbor has already reported an outage in your area. Please refrain from calling the Township to ask for the status of power restoration as we do not have access to that information.
SPOLIED FOOD COLLECTION (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Routes ONLY)
