Kidz Klubhouse Assistant Director Position
Springfield Township Parks & Recreation is looking for an Assistant Director for their Kidz Klubhouse Summer Camp!
Under the guidance of the Camp Director, the Assistant Camp Director will contribute to the development and implementation of all camp activities. The Assistant Camp Director will provide a safe and nurturing environment and have a positive attitude about all programs. Duties and responsibilities include; overseeing daily camp operations, assisting the Camp Director with development and implementation of camp curriculum and schedules, organizing, planning, and instructing age appropriate activates for camp staff to apply with camp groups, and much more.
Qualified Applicants
All qualified applicants must fit this criteria for hire:
- 21 + years old
- Passing of background checks is required.
- Thorough understanding of child development and ability to develop age appropriate programs.
- Skillfully lead and inspire staff on an individual basis as well as in large staff meetings.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with youth in a school or after school setting OR minimum 2 years’ experience working in a summer camp setting
- Ability to provide direction to others, mediate and use sound judgment.
- Springfield Township resident preferred but not required.
- Ability to physically perform daily duties as assigned.
