Gift match program designed to permanently preserve lands.
Donate to Preserve Open Space
The Board of Commissioners established a special fund for cash donations and matching funds that will only be used to preserve land. Every private dollar contributed to the Township Open Space Fund will be matched up to $200,000 annually. This program's goals include;
- Provide public access to privately-owned lands that have been preserved by a conservation easement.
- Create open spaces that link to neighborhoods, commercial centers, etc.
- Protect environmentally sensitive lands, including floodplain, wetlands, and other open spaces.
- Increase open space by removing impervious surfaces.
- Establish a Township-wide network of trails and other on and off-road connections.
