Programs and Events

No News is Good News.

When you register for any of our recreation programs, do not wait by the phone or camp out at your mailbox. You will hear from us if:

  • The class is full.
  • The class is canceled.
  • There is a change in time and/or day
  • There is a change in the program location.

If it’s almost time for your class to begin and you have not heard from our staff, that is good news! It means the program will run as detailed on RecDesk.

You Snooze, You Lose.

Nothing cancels a good program quicker than waiting until the last minute to register. If there are not enough registrations by the specified deadline, the program could be canceled! For the status of a program or details about the possibility of a cancelation, call 215-836-7600.

Camp Counselor - No Open Positions for 2024

2024 Kidz Klubhouse Counselor and Counselor in Training (CIT) Program: The Township had a high number of returning staff, limiting open positions. At this point in time, the Township has no openings available for paid Counselor roles. The Township has limited Counselor In Training (CIT) openings and will fill the openings on a rolling basis.

The Township will continue accepting applications for the waitlist. If you are interested in joining the waitlist, please send your completed application and letter of recommendation to the Township. If you join the waitlist, you will be notified if an opening occurs.

Counselor In Training (C.I.T.)

The Counselor In Training Program is for teens who are too old for camp and not old enough to be a counselor. This program is geared to develop leadership skills and a basic understanding of camp operations. Although this is an unpaid position, CITs are an important part of camp operations. CITs are responsible for aiding counselors in every facet of camp such as set-up/clean-up, planning activities, helping campers with small tasks, etc. CITs will assist in the supervision of campers and help enhance the camp experience.

Applications are open to those entering 7th grade and up. Open positions are based on how many CITs return from the previous year. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. To access the application, click the link below:
