Bike Montco 1.5 Survey
Montgomery County is seeking resident input to help shape the future of on-road biking in the County. "Bike Montco 1.5" is an update to the County's on-road bicycle plan, Bike Montco, originally published in 2018. The proliferation of electric micro-mobility (e-mobility) devices on the roadway and trail networks has emphasized the need for Montgomery County to adopt a county-wide bicycle plan update.
This plan update will place a special focus on the latest information and trends of e-mobility while seeking to understand its growing role within our communities. The plan update will also feature a new bicycle network map that prioritizes connections on low-stress traffic streets.
The goal of this plan is to keep residents aware of new, alternative modes of transportation utilized by our neighbors, to advocate for improved dedicated bicycle infrastructure on our roadways where warranted, and to plan for safe travel for all modes throughout our transportation network.
We invite you to take our survey to help shape the future of on-road biking in Montgomery County! The survey will be available until 11:59PM on July 30, 2026. After that, Phase 2, Analysis and Research, will begin.
Your response will shape how residents and visitors roll around the county in the future. If you ride a bicycle, e-bike, e-scooter, etc. or have an interest in riding on these devices in the future, we want to hear from you!
