Cell Phones and Social Media for Parents
Parents! Does Your Child Have a Smartphone? Do You Know What They're Doing on It?
If your child already has a phone, or you're considering getting them one, make plans to attend this important parent education event on October 27 from 6PM - 7PM at the Springfield Township Middle School Auditorium (1901 Paper Mill Rd). This is presented in collaboration with the School District of Springfield Township and the Springfield Township Police Department.
This FREE, in-person education event will help parents better understand the risks associated with smartphones and social media. More importantly, you will learn practical ways to protect your children. The presentation will discuss common concerns involving social media, online safety, and how parents can monitor their children's devices, manage app access, and set up parental controls. This event will be led by Detective Stephen Craig (STPD) and Amy Mangano (Principal), with school district and police department administrators available to answer questions.
Come prepared with questions about your child's phone, social media use, and parental controls. Whether your child already has a phone or you're considering purchasing their first one, you'll leave with practical steps you can put into action at home.
We look forward to seeing you there!
