Refuse/Highway Laborer: Full Time Position – 2021

Springfield Township is accepting applications for a Refuse/Highway Laborer Full-Time Position. This is an hourly position with a daily work schedule 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday-Friday, for a total of 42 hours/week.
Individuals will work under the close supervision of the Director of Public Works. Responsibilities include collecting, emptying & returning the refuse & recycling containers to the curb; emptying, cleaning, and maintaining refuse equipment; assisting in general maintenance work, including lawn mowing, edging, hedge trimming, sweeping, etc; working with various equipment, tools (i.e., chain saw, weed trimmer, power tools). Note: Applicants to be at least 18 years of age on their first date of employment
High school diploma or equivalent and a valid PA Driver’s License required. Applications may be obtained (9:00 AM to 4:30 PM) from the table in the outside vestibule of the Township building, 1510 Paper Mill Rd, Wyndmoor, PA. Applications will not be mailed out. Completed applications must be dropped off (in person) to the Township receptionist. Instructions for scheduling an interview will be provided when completed applications are dropped off.
