We Want to Hear From You: Take our Trail Plan Survey
Springfield Township is working with the Montgomery County Planning Commission (MCPC) to develop a community-wide trail plan for the Township, and we want to hear from you!
Originally launched this past August, the Township's public trail plan survey will be closing this Friday, November 4, 2022. The survey, which only takes about 5-7 minutes, will help us gauge community opinions on current and potential trails in the township, trail destinations, and any critical gaps or barriers to trail development and/or use in the Township. The feedback received from the survey will be used to develop a DRAFT Trail Plan that is expected to be completed in early 2023. The public will have additional opportunities to provide feedback on the draft plan when it is available.
The trail plan survey closes Friday, November 4th, so be sure to share your thoughts today!
Township to Develop a Community-wide Trail Plan
Safety, connectivity and walkability are the basis for a recent decision by the Springfield Township Board of Commissioners to undertake a community-wide trail plan. From enhancing pedestrian safety by providing the public with more off-road opportunities to walk, run, and bike, to making it easier to travel to different parts of the Township without a vehicle, trails are increasingly seen as popular public amenities that the entire community may enjoy.
