We Want to Hear From You: How the Public Can Get Involved
Members of the public who live or work in Springfield Township are encouraged to voice their opinions on the development of trails in the community! There are several ways individuals can engage and participate in Springfield Township's Trail Planning Process. Our first open house meeting took place on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at the Free Library of Springfield Township. We received great feedback from residents and want to hear from you too!
Please use the links below to access the online survey and interactive mapping tool to let us know where you would like trails in the community! Another public meeting will be held later this year/early next year to solicit more feedback from the community.
Township to Develop a Community-wide Trail Plan
Safety, connectivity and walkability are the basis for a recent decision by the Springfield Township Board of Commissioners to undertake a community-wide trail plan. From enhancing pedestrian safety by providing the public with more off-road opportunities to walk, run, and bike, to making it easier to travel to different parts of the Township without a vehicle, trails are increasingly seen as popular public amenities that the entire community may enjoy.
Trail Plan Deliverables
The Springfield Township Trail Plan is intended to outline overarching goals of a Community-wide trail network and identify a list of potential trail projects that Springfield Township could pursue that would maximize connectivity between key destinations, including parks, businesses and neighborhoods, in an equitable manner.
